Anthea King is the founder and a makeup artist of Timeless Glow Bridal. She has over 17 years combined experience as an established NYC makeup artist working with celebrities and in fashion and bridal. Her career started in the late 1990’s working at Marie Claire, Glamour and W magazines on photo shoots in the fashion departments. It was through these experiences she discovered her other passion which was beauty and makeup. She tapped her connections to meet and work with photographers to build a portfolio and has been represented by top NYC agencies for the past 12 years. Her most current work can be seen with Tracey Mattingly www.traceymattingly.com They have some of the very best artists in NY and LA under one roster. In addition she has worked on teams during fashion week in NY and Paris including over 20 seasons of Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Phillip Lim, Narcisco Rodriguez, YSL and the list continues.
Starting in 2009, she began doing covers and editorials for The Knot as well as Brides, Martha Stewart Weddings, Cosmopolitain Bride (UK) to name a few. Through these collaborations, she decided to begin a bridal agency realizing there was a desperate need for quality hair and makeup services in this area. “In my research I found bridal hair and makeup sources that would never be the caliber my clients would want for on their most important day.” Thus, the idea of a premium bridal beauty service began. Anthea’s artists are carefully selected from pools of talent to ensure clients are getting the total package: the best in beauty, calm demeanor and professionalism throughout the process.
Anthea found the love of her life – a Brit named Joe- and eloped in Big Sur, California in 2009. They have a 2-year-old baby girl named Lottie. She did her own makeup but not her hair on her wedding day.
